after some time on land in nassau the ship was nearly overtaken by some pirates. they all looked like the friendly type, though, so we took some time to say hello. afterwards, there was a pirate party on deck followed by a fireworks show.
isabel liked the pirate types. she played with pirate stitch for a while. he played back.
a lot like amalea, minnie is multi-faceted.
mickey is such a gentleman.
amalea fell for his charm.
so did isabel. she even let him pick her up. and she is smiling.
isabel talking with the big cheese himself.
dale is clapping because the chipmunks were successful in getting ahold of this little treasure too.
chip and dale and amalea make a great team.
a pirate says arrrrrgh!
good morning sun! on our own deserted isle, castaway cay, with the "water chick-munks" as isabel called them.
amalea reels in isabel using a hot dog as bait.
and now i will point out the flying dutchman.
jack sparrow. isabel is terrified. jack said that this was going to traumatize her.
mickey and our gang.
palling with pluto at mt. rustmore.
we went on a bike ride to check out more of the island.
amalea fell asleep somewhere during the ride.
there were some scenic stops during the bike ride.
here is a view from our little piece of paradise on the island. just beyond isabel is the family beach as well as the snorkeling area. mom and dad both snorkeled. we saw gigantic sea urchin, tangs, coral, and some neat sunken things - a ship, submarine, a statue of minnie mouse. isabel and mom even saw a sting ray while just wading on the beach.
sand + baby = throwing sand.
lots and lots of shells to play with.
isabel kept wanting to "float". just look at that crystal clear water.
amalea. still sleeping after the bike ride.
another angle from our spot on the beach.
the sign posted said swim at your own risk. it left out the beware the baby eat-attacking the cone warning.
she has that thing licked.
any remnants will be gouged out.
quick, help, which ship do we get back on to go home?
dinner at triton's. isabel is sitting pretty dining out of a crystal goblet.
it was the 4th of july on our last night at sea. mom and amalea feeling patriotic right along with mickey. now it's time to say goodbye..."bye boat. love you boat." croons an adoring isabel.
